ack... i'm not being very good at this right now I guess...
after steve's folks house we went to the creek. Stayed at Kim's cabin and had a blast. Only 8 of us, but a very nice group of folks to hang out with for the weekend.
Benji and Peyton had their little girl Margaret Annice Collins. Everything is fine with her July 14 a little over 6 pounds.
So obviously the missed the canoe trip :)
The next weekend we hung out in Starkville and grilled with folks, It was a nice way to kill some time. I did get to go garage saleing a little that weekend, didn't get anything too exciting.
The first weekend in August we'd planned to go to Tuscaloosa for an event, but Margot called me and invited us over to the delta to grill and fighter practice. We got to meet a couple that will be coming to MSU this fall as well. Dunno if they are really that interested in the SCA... but they might be. Their fighters even came over and joined us for our fighter practice on Sunday.
There was a really impressive lightning show on Saturday night that we watched all the drive home.
Aug 4-5 I attended an art/design class taught by Brett Barker. It was very interesting learning, rather frustrating, but I'm looking forward to putting some of it into work.
finished reading the Watchman... very good, now I'm super excited about the movie coming out.
