Week 39

GA A&S this past weekend. Ended up taking down the pop up camper and spending the weekend. Camped with Dale and Michelle. I got lots of good feedback on the photo calender and got most of the releases signed that I wanted.

Hung out with Lynne and steve a good bit, and had a great time down at the field under the pavillion. After feast (which was really pretty sparse in my opinion) we hung out in Lynnes room with Elidh, Roz, Dredda, Meghan, Lynne, and steve. I felt really accepted and happy to call those women friends.

Roz is going to be elevated to the order of the Laurel!! so that is fabulous news.

Still reading Amazing adventures of Kavalier and Clay. It's been busy at work though so it is going pretty slowly.

Week 37 & 38

We stayed home the first weekend of the month and grilled out and watched "Dangerous Liasons" with everyone.

Last weekend we daytripped over to Royal, AL for Seth and Gwen's coronation. Nice ceremony and pretty garb. It was very nice to see folks we dont see very often, but I'm afraid we spent more time than we should have just talking to the other folks from Gleann Abhann who were also there. Have to be careful about that to not project a "cliqueish" aire.

Read: Dogs of Bedlam Farm and Parrots Lament.
Reading: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Plannin on going to A&S this weekend, but still not 100% sure if we are camping or daytripping.

Have actually started sewing again.... Just quilt stuff right now, but have an idea for an SCA dress to make too. :)

week 36

ok, so we try again!

Read: Patrick son of Ireland, just started reading Heat Stroke (2nd weather warden book) I really enjoyed the first one, so I have high hopes for this one too.

Dragon*Con was fabulous. I got to meet Jerry Doyle and got his autograph (on my shoe) and had a moment with Nathan Fillion, Passed him in the hallway and kinda genuflected at him and he gave me the poster he had in is hand saying "here this is for you" kinda neat, so I have art from him. (not autographed, but hey still neat).

I only went to a few panels (photoshop, firefly, smallville) and didn't spend long in the art show this year, but still had an excellent time people watching. We were staying at the Marriott, so probably spent more time in the room than last year. It was nice to be able to go back and crash occasionally or change clothes with ease. Even let other folks we were hanging out with have a place to do the same.

Dressed up as Shaggy and Velma one day and that prompted a bunch of photo opportunities, but the winner what steve's Rorschach costume.

I want to make a steam punk costume for next year, I prolly ought to start now, inorder to get it done by then.
