Week 44

Went to Gatalop this weekend. Had beautiful weather the whole time, not too cold or windy for once.

Hung out mostly with Gwen / Seth / Angus / Glenna / Medb etc. Alex and Niki went with us and camped out in the campground, it was a very pretty little campground with lots of shade. only $22 a night for tent camping, so not too awful expensive either.

I sent some order blanks to Brenna this weekend to Samhain, and she sold 9 calendars she said. that's good too. I'm going to take them this weekend to the fighter practice in jackson and try to sell some there too.

Read: Odd Thomas. Reading: The Scourge of God.

Hanging out here on Saturday and going to Jackson on Sunday.

Just realized last night that we are booked up for the next 6 weekends in a row... gonna be hard to get christmas presents made this year like I wanted to.

addendum

SUCCESS!!!!

it required reloading and repairing the software... but it worked!!! so I ordered the first 10 calendars YAY!!!

week 43

The Gleann Abhann Calendar....

I was feeling so good about it too... I'd found a company called propicsexpress that claimed they could print them for $10 a piece... gave me a piece of software to run and design the calendar and went to work.

It was just great up untill the printing part... now I can't get the company's website to talk to my computer, and though I'm talking with their customer service rep online... I'm getting very discouraged.

I've already made up an order blank, printed out a proof as a sample and was hoping to start selling them this weekend. Man this sucks.

Week 42

http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20081012/NEWS/810110222/1007?Titl\

hopefully that will give you a story written and a video made from this weekend's Meridian Crown Tourny we attended. Nice shot of Steve and I at about the 2:57 mark in the video.

Godwine won. So that should be interesting.

Also went to the Pine Belt Quilt show... had 480+ quilts there hung. very impressive show. and lots of vendors too. Erin went with me, and we both came home with fabrics and patterns.

Reading: The Thief Lord. kind of a kids book but set in Venice

Week 40 & 41

Hung out at home this weekend... had folks over on Saturday to work on SCA patterns and the guys played Tomb.

I went garage saling in the morning and the find of the day was a Peacock blue silk sari for $1. It is an absolutly breathtaking color, and I'm very happy. Now to figure out what to do with it.

Sunday I felt awful, but had to go to fighter practice for the "demo" we did for the kids from a class in Ackerman. they drove over in a bus and hung out watched the fighting, looked at arts and crafts and tried on garb. lots of fun.

Read: Call of the Wild in anticipation of a dog training lecture connected with Starkville Reads... but the lecture itself wasnt' very interesting.

Still working on a new quilt project, and am almost done with a SCA tunic dress made from orange wool.

Keneth has started a new D&D Game.... It is very high level (10) so I'm getting to revive Greymar and play her again :)
