Week 47

Went to Bam BAM BAM this weekend. It was cold, but dry so not too awful. Our catalytic heater only worked the second night. (the less cold one) i took some pictures, but missed the fort battle and bridge battles, cause a girls gotta shop sometime right?

I bought silk thread for my Margot project. Then took it home and completely ruined it when trying to coil it into a ball. oh well, It will still work, It was just pretty frustrating.

Trixie made the best stew!!! Elk with carrots, potatoes, celery, other stewy type things... but yummy.

We got off Wednesday-Friday this week for Thanksgiving so we'll head to mom's house for a few days and then off to disney for the whole next week!!!! yay!

I found a youtube on how to knit. so I learned the Garter Stitch. Trixie and I sat around camp and figured out the knit purl rotation to make the sweater looking stitch too. yay us. Knitting is easier on bumpy roads than applique is I've discovered.

I'm making a twirly skirt for Lauren for Christmas, and I sent Mrs. C her Christmas bag already. Still planning on doing a little shopping when we are in Orlando, but just need to figure out who to buy for.

week 46

I made a pie. not too exciting except I made the piecrust too. Used Sara's Pumpkin Pie recipe. And now I am disappointed that it is all gone.

Reading Scourge of God still this whole writing experiment and sewing for Christmas has slowed down my reading some seems like.

I bought knitting needles... Shhhh! I'm not sure I'll do much with them, but I bought them.

Everything is getting expensive. just in little bits, but seems like my money doesn't go nearly as far as it used to.

Went to Jackson this weekend and bought new shoes amongst other things. Met some nice people at a place, but didn't get any names, so not sure where they were from.

crown results

LORIC WON CROWN!!!!! after 48 tries (crown and coronets) and 7 near misses... he won he won he won... I'm so excited for them!

On the home front, I made my first Pie Crust and a pumpkin pie to go in it :)

And have made 2 photobooks from 2 different companies as well.

Week 45

Crown list is this weekend. I hope it goes well.

Mom told me I needed to set up a facebook page to see Trey's pictures... so I did. It's kinda neat. Most of the Everett clan is over there on that, and Heather & Adam too.

I got to be the Chocolate Fairy this morning... Coach Cohen had bought all his kid's candy from school and asked me to get rid of it. So I carried it around to all the offices in the department and passed it out. Too much fun watching folks's faces light up over free chocolate.

Obama won the election didn't carry MS but I did vote for the first time... Wierd to confess that, but when I was in High School I cared about politics then when I came to MSU I had no TV and it wasn't important any more to me.... and after that I was just to embarresed to admit I'd never registered.

Reading Scourge of God... next book in the dies the fire series.

Working hard on Christmas Gifts. Should have plenty of things to share at guild meeting on Thursday.
