Week 23

The whirlwind class at MQA was not very exotic or exciting, but the teacher did a nice job of talking us through the processes needed to make a block that you cut apart to make 2 quiltblocks different enough that they belonged in 2 seperate quilts. Fran Cummings taught the class and did a great job.

ok, so not so quiet this week!

The team won the regional tournament in Talahassee, FL, and claimed the rights to host the Super Regional Tournament vs. Clemson. Over 13,000 people watched the game on Saturday (beating the record of over 12,000 from Friday) here at the stadium, that doesn't count the folks watching on the jumbotron in the Hump or on ESPN.

This place was a mad house all week. Repeat after me "No, I'm sorry you'll have to call the ticket office to purchase tickets. Yes, I realize that their number is still busy, but keep trying." Now, you could have done my job all week.

But it was a good kinda busy, and since they won the tournament and get to go to Omaha this week it'll all be worth it.

Reading: The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Part detective novel part literary romp thru the best of english literature. Sam recommended it to me, and I'll recommend it to just about anyone else. I'm enjoying it alot.
