Week 25

First day of summer my foot.... its been over 90 for what seems like a month running already. but I guess thats a pretty good example of the human race needing to put a label on everything they encounter. I came across pictures on the web this week of someone from Australia's Christmas celebrations. All the kids in shorts and flipflops rather than cold weather gear; brings the fact that the seasons are opposite into focus. I guess the internet does make the world smaller.

Going to a quilt workshop this weekend to do the Buzz Saw block. I picked out some nice colors, I hope it turns out well.

Will lost his temper and probably his job Friday. I'm glad that none of my co-workers have ever made me that mad. It makes it a much better place to work when you think of it that way.

Reading: The Other Bolen Girl by Phillipa Gregory. Story of Mary & Anne Bolen and their interactions with Henry the 8th and the Tudor court. Very readable.

I baked a poundcake last weekend and have been eating on it all week. I probably shouldn't have since we haven't been to the gym all month, but I don't always do what I "Should."

Went out Friday night with steve and lynne and are going over the benji & peyton's to grill out Saturday... It's good to get to hang out with my friends for a little while longer. I still can't believe they are all leaving by the end of the summer. Makes me sad, but I'm going to do what I can to make the good times last as long as possible.
